Media coverage is an integral part of the SPIRIT II project. Generating public awareness on the local and national levels and promote an interest in sounding rockets and space education. Raising awareness levels helps attract students, professors and donors to the program and helps ensure that this opportunity will be made available in the future.

To help accomplish these goals, the group has developed a show case, currently on display in the lobby of Electrical Engineering East, and several press releases. The photo below shows several students being interviewed by a local news station at Benner Elementary School's "Rocket Day" Program where SPIRIT II students helped elementary school students launch model rockets.
